Fast Against Hunger Campaign
HELP US FEED 6,000 FAMILIES
Did you know?
• Over 4 million people face food insecurity across Canada
• 1/3 children in Canada are at risk for going to school hungry
This year we would like to invite our non-muslim friends to join us and fast alongside us on April 23rd to show our support for those individuals who face food insecurities on a regular basis.
We believe that our community is always stronger together, and that access to food is a basic human right, not a privilege.
Your donation goes towards Project Ramadan’s food basket program to help support families in our local community. For every $60 donated you help feed a family for up to 1 month.

Arya was often going to bed hungry…
Coming to Canada as a refugee has been hard on her family. Trying to find a job during the pandemic is difficult.
Due to her low-income household, her family is not able to afford food, winter clothing, and basic necessities.
Arya’s family reached out to us and we were able to provide them with hot meals, food baskets, and clothes.
Imagine feeling helpless as a parent because you can’t afford to feed your child. Every child deserves the opportunity to experience the joys of childhood and live life to the fullest.

FOOD CRISIS + COVID-19 RESPONSE
Project Ramadan understands the negative impact that COVID-19 has had on our economy and our food basket recipients.
Due to shutdowns, job losses, and an increase in grocery cost, many in our local communities have had to turn to food banks for relief.
As a result of the ongoing and increasing demands, these food banks have been struggling to remain stocked. In fact, Toronto food banks received the highest number of food bank visits ever recorded in the city’s history, with 1.45 million visits.4 With your contribution, you can help Project Ramadan combat food insecurity in our community
