About Us – Project Ramadan

About Us

Project Ramadan, an initiative of Muslim Welfare Canada is dedicated to supporting families in need within our local communities during Ramadan. Our mission during this blessed time in Ramadan is simple: to fundraise, assemble, and distribute baskets containing staple food items to those who need it.

Through key partnerships with organizations such as food banks, women’s shelters and First Nation communities, we distribute baskets to families regardless of their race, religion or nationality. Enthusiastic volunteers come from across the Greater Toronto, Hamilton, and Ottawa areas to band together and make this initiative possible. With the support of our great sponsors and in-kind donors. Project Ramadan has worked to help many Food Banks in the MWC network, and partner with many beneficiaries across Ontario.

Run entirely by volunteers, Project Ramadan is an initiative dedicated to providing support to families across Ontario that are in need, through fundraising and assembling food baskets.
