Social Media Content Creator

Attendance:  Build Days & Special Events  +  Weekly Meetings (virtual / in-person)
Hours Commitment:  ~10hours per week

Description

Project Ramadan is seeking a Social Media Content Creator to join their team. This volunteer position will be at the forefront of our efforts to communicate our mission, engage our supporters, and expand our reach through compelling content on various social media platforms. The Social Media Content Creator responsibilities include producing marketing content to advertise our mission and support our campaign and events.

Responsibilities

• Craft compelling and shareable content for our social media platforms including Instagram, Tik Tok, Facebook, X, LinkedIn and Youtube that highlight our activities, events, and causes, utilizing storytelling techniques to evoke empathy and support
• Collaborate with marketing and communications teams to develop content strategies aligned with the organization’s goals and mission
• Maintain an organized content calendar to ensure consistent and timely messaging
• Create compelling narratives that showcase the impact of our work, including success stories, testimonials, and updates on our initiatives
• Connect with our community by responding to messages and comments from our followers and supporters
• Develop and implement strategies to increase our social media following and engagement, including the use of hashtags, collaborations, and partnerships
• Monitor and analyze social media metrics to track performance, identify trends, and adapt strategies to achieve better results
• Stay informed of social media trends, algorithm changes, and emerging platforms to keep our content fresh and effective

Qualifications

• Proven experience as a Social Media Content Creator or a similar role
• Proficiency in graphic design tools, video editing and scheduling platforms
• Exceptional storytelling and content creation skills
• Strong knowledge of social media platforms and trends
• Analytical skills to measure and report on the effectiveness of social media efforts
• Excellent communication and collaboration abilities
• Ability to speak publicly and in front of camera
• A strong passion for our organization’s mission and values
• Ability to project manage and adhere to deadlines
• Ontario G driver’s license an asset
