Build Events Coordinator

Attendance:  Build Days & Special Events  + Events Setup & Cleanup +  Weekly Meetings (virtual / in-person)
Hours Commitment:  ~10hours per week

Description

Project Ramadan is seeking a Build Events Coordinator to join their team. The Build Events Coordinator volunteer position plays a pivotal role in ensuring the smooth execution of our food drive events. This individual is responsible for overseeing on-site logistics, coordinating the setup, operation, and breakdown of various elements during the food drive. Their attention to detail will be crucial in managing volunteer teams, supervising donation collection points, and maintaining a positive and organized atmosphere throughout the day.

Responsibilities

• Plan, organize, and execute all aspects of the food drive event from conception to completion
• Recruit, train, and oversee volunteers to ensure a seamless and efficient operation on event day
• Collaborate with marketing teams to promote the food drive and engage the community
• Work with fundraising and special events teams to secure sponsors and/or partners to ensure successful event execution

Qualifications

• Proven experience as an event coordinator or in a similar role
• Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities
• Previous experience at our Project Ramadan build events
• Proficient in event booking softwares (e.g. Eventbrite)
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work under pressure and adapt to changing circumstances
• Passion for community service and addressing food insecurity
• Ontario G driver’s license
